The Wilson Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Welcomes You to Wilson School!!
The Wilson PTA is a vital part of our school. Members include teachers/staff, parents, guardians, family members and neighbors of Wilson’s many students. The PTA allows patrons to support the school through various activities throughout the year.
PTA goals include:
* Involving all parents/guardians in the life and learning environment of the school.
* Having regular communication between parents/guardians and staff.
* Building school community and pride.
* Building support for and awareness of the school within the local neighborhoods and the larger community.
* Supporting and participating in neighborhood and community events.
* Celebrating the school’s history and building relationships with school alumni.
* Encouraging good health and exercise.
PTA members volunteer in the classroom and beyond. They help coordinate field trips, the school newsletter, school website, fundraisers, teacher appreciation, care teams, improvements to the building and grounds, and all-school events such as Fall Fest at the Farm, Bingo nights, Arts Integration Night, and Math & Science Night. Volunteers also coordinate many extracurricular activities such as Scout Troops, Chess Club, team sports, Eat Wise Kids Club, and neighborhood and community events.
